Whistleblowing Policy
At the Society of St Vincent de Paul (National Council of Singapore), we are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability in our mission to serve those in need.
To support this commitment, our Whistleblowing Policy provides a confidential and secure avenue for members, volunteers, employees, and other stakeholders to report, in good faith and without malice, any legitimate concerns regarding serious misconduct or improprieties involving the Society.
Some examples of reportable matters:
- Financial or professional misconduct – e.g. misappropriation, criminal breach of trust, fraud, theft.
- Dishonest or unethical behaviour – such as falsification of records, forgery, or unauthorised dealings.
- Breach of laws or internal policies – including financial, audit, or operational procedures.
- Money laundering
- Violence or threats to safety – any conduct endangering the well-being of persons in the workplace.
- Conflicts of interest – undisclosed personal interest in Society transactions or decisions.
- Impropriety, corruption, or bribery.
- Sexual harassment or other inappropriate conduct.
- Acts intended to deceive, coerce or mislead auditors or regulators.
- Any conduct that may cause reputational or financial loss to the Society.
Protection & Confidentiality
The Society is committed to protecting individuals who raise concerns in good faith. Reports will be handled with strict confidentiality and appropriate care. Whistle-blowers will be protected from any form of reprisal, provided the report is not made maliciously or for personal gain.
Information disclosed will only be shared on a need-to-know basis, or where required by law. Anonymous reports are also considered and will be assessed based on their merits.
