Reaching out to wherever help is needed.
Our outreach includes special projects and activities for the elderly, vulnerable individuals and families as well as migrant workers among others.
SSVP organises:
- family and community activities; to help ease the pressures within families and communities and manage isolation for those who are lonely and marginalised with organised activities and excursions
- visits to homes for the aged and sick
- home improvement projects; appliance replacements, changing beddings and mattresses, installing LED lights
- visits to migrant worker dormitories to provide them with care pack containing groceries and essentials
- special visits to vulnerable groups, including single-parent families, elderly to provide them with friendship and care packs containing groceries and essentials
- training, workshops and information; to help with the management of their daily lives, eg, information to enhance financial literacy, better parenting, care-taking, training to better their employment potential etc.
These special projects are often organise in collaboration with the parish, other community groups or corporations.
