Community Services Office

Our Community Services Office (CSO) is based in Agape Village and our social work professional help individuals and families seeking our assistance, by linking them up with appropriate Government and social services agencies and where required, recommend them to one of our Conferences (branches) for adoption as FINs so that they get holistic care. These social work professionals also provide guidance and training to our members in handling complex cases.

Annually, CSO manages more than 600 cases as well as assists SSVP members to provide case management support to 3,200 beneficiaries.

Milk & Diapers Programme

The Milk & Diapers (MaD) programme provides parents from low-income families with milk and diapers for their very young children (up to three years of age). Our members and volunteers also journey with the families of these young children. Our aim is to help the families reduce their hardships, ensuring their children do not go without basic sustenance and nutrition in their formative years. They also collaborate with Family Services Centers to provide more holistic care for these vulnerable families. In 2022, over 500 babies and toddlers were on the Programme.

In 2020 when Covid-19 restrictions confined school going children to doing home based learning, MaD initiated a collaboration with another charity Engineering Good and we obtained refurbished laptops to give to 150 FINs’ children. When the need arose, we recognised and responded to it and did what was necessary to support our SSVP FINs and their families.
